Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment identified some significant archaeological remains in the vicinity of the site, including the Church of the Holy Trinity and Castle Howe Motte and Bailey. As a result, an evaluation was undertaken that found that any archaeological remains that had existed on the site had been truncated by 20th century development. A segment of probable 18th century sandstone wall and an assemblage of pottery were the only indications of pre-modern activity. [Au(adp)] |
