Abstract: |
<summary>An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of development. Two sample trenches were excavated. Features of possible late medieval date discovered included a post hole, a possible stone support for a sill beam, and a deep pit (although this was not bottomed). These features could have related to a timber building and refuse pit or garderobe. Drains observed in Trench 1 could have been contemporary with extant walls adjacent to both trenches, probably dating from the late 18th century. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
