Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the excavation of ten geotechnical test pits prior to the proposed construction of a new Motor Transport Facility. The watching brief produced no evidence for any archaeological artefacts or deposits and indicated that the probability of archaeological survival beneath the existing cement working site was fairly low. Evidence in the areas examined beyond the cement working area suggested that the potential for archaeological survival might have been substantially higher. [Au(abr)] |
