Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken on the site during the conversion to a new Railway Heritage Centre. Brick structures, believed to be machine plinths and floor reinforcements were found alongside industrial debris, throughout the whole building. This correlated with information on an 1849 GWR plan.
