Abstract:
A watching brief was maintained on the digging of foundation trenches for a proposed garage. A series of make-up deposits were revealed; some of which appeared to have been placed to level a low-lying area to the north and later deposits which were probably lain to level the area of the bowling green which existed on the site in the 20th century.
