Abstract:		 Excavations, an earthworks survey and geophysical work were conducted as part of a substantial research project at Hylton Castle. Better understanding of parts of the castle itself, and the phasing of some of the buildings was gained. An attempt at sequencing the development of the castle from the 12th to the 18th century was made. [AIP]
