Abstract: |
Trenches were placed in an area identified by the geophysical survey as conducive to past activity. Altough no features of definite archaeological origin were detected, inferences were made relating to animal bone assemblages and butchery evidence of possible Iron Age/Romano-British date. This was deemed to fit well with the model of low-level, transient activity that has been postulated. The environmental sampling results were typical for the area; further analysis was not proposed.
