Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was conducted in advance of a proposed development at the rear of a church, in part of the churchyard. A number of inhumations containing human remains, and a charnel pit were uncovered to the rear of the church. These were dated to the early post-medieval and late post-medieval periods. These features had been truncated by later landscaping of the site, during the construction of a path and retaining wall to the rear of the church in the late 19th century. [Au(adp)] |
