Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out after an evaluation had revealed archaeological features at the former site of a dock. A 17th-18th century pot house on the site had been documented. Seven phases of development of the pot house were recorded, and evidence of a late 18th century extension to the dock was found. Kilns, potting clay, kiln furniture and wasters were observed; an ash pit and several waste pits were also recorded. [AIP] |
