Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the construction of two new agricultural buildings. An area of 2130 sqm was mechanically stripped of top soil and 42 stanchion pits mechanically excavated within the stripped area. No artefacts or archaeological features were noted during the course of the watching brief. Indeed over the whole of the stripped area natural clay and limestone beds of the Great Oolite Series were exposed immediately below the top soil. [Au(abr)] |
