Abstract: |
An assessment of the area in response to proposals for a new housing development found a total of 16 archaeological sites in the area including the Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade II Listed building of Wetherby Bridge. There was not thought to be potential for any prehistoric settlement at the site, however Roman activity was expected to be found. There was much potential for medieval and post-medieval remains to be unearthed, and a possible medieval stone structure was expected that would have been affected by any development. [Au(abr)] |
