Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was conducted during quarry work. A timber structure was revealed and was identified as a fiesh wier, complete with wattle and daub panels. Sixty oak posts and twelce angled braces were recorded. Further southwest a second row of twelve posts, with eleven stray posts were also revealed. Samples were collected for radiocarbon dating, and 90% of the timbers were samples for wood analysis.[AIP] |
