Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out at The Green Tree Public House. Bedrock was found directly below modern deposits in the two trenches closest to the road frontage, indicating significant truncation of the area. This truncation was likely to have been caused by mining activity in this area. A modern cellar and other building foundations were identified. Trench two contained a highly truncated gully and possible ploughsoil. [Au(adp)] |
