Abstract: |
An evaluation trench at The Eyrie revealed five graves, two of which contained traces of degraded bone. A single sherd of pottery of 11th to 14th century date was found in one of the graves. In another evaluation trench at Back Lane, two ditches were partly excavated and a row of post holes, running parallel with these, were also investigated. The features probably represented field boundaries and were dated, by pottery from their fills, to the medieval period. In addition one other feature was partly exposed within the excavated area.
