Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the construction of a single-storey front and rear extension to the existing building, with new drainage at front and rear. Foundation and drainage trenches, plus ground clearance at the rear of the site was monitored during the watching brief. These revealed a limestone drain and a possible limestone wall foundation or rubble deposit. The site had been badly truncated by modern building and levelling processes. [Au(abr)] |
