Abstract: |
The major archaeological potential of the site was the possibility that a medieval moated site once lay within the eastern half of Site A. If the presence of the moated site was demonstrated, there was the further possibility that it may have proven to have been the site of the medieval manor house of East Twyford. It was clear that the majority of the eastern half of Site A had been significantly truncated by the construction of the factory, and it was questionable to what degree any remains still survived. The potential for unrecorded archaeological deposits was thought to be low. [Au(abr)] |
