Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the site of a lift shaft in the grounds of a factory. An 18th century red brick wall was encountered. This was probably related to the Bow Porcelain Factory, founded in about 1747. Further structures and deposits suggested a continuous occupation of the site over a period of 200 years. It was concluded that the site had considerable potential, but the limited area of the shaft did not allow for further investigation. [AIP] |
