Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the excavation of 4 engineering boreholes. The boreholes provided useful evidence regarding both the natural terrain of the site, and the anthropogenically-derived layers above the natural London Clay. It was suggested that some of the made-ground could have been dark earth of late Roman or Anglo-Saxon date. The possible existence of archaeological features had also been noted. [Au(adp)] |
