Abstract: |
An evaluation of land proposed for development revealed evidence of activity of probable later prehistoric date in the form of a cremation in a small pit, and of the medieval and modern periods. Archaeological features revealed included ditches, walls, wall trenches and small pits or postholes. Finds included 44 sherds of medieval pottery (probably 11th-12th century), building material (medieval to modern), and animal bone as well as the cremated remains of one adult. [Au] |
