Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken prior to the proposed redevelopment of the site. The site lay in an Archaeological Priority Area identified in the Islington Unitary Development Plan. The archaeological potential of the study site for the medieval and post-medieval periods was thought to be good, with ancillary building remains and evidence for 'backlands' activity likely to be present. The archaeological potential of the site for all other periods of human activity was defined as low or very low. Past post depositional impacts on any archaeological remains present on the site were not thought to have been significant. [Au(adp)] |
