Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a water-main from West Pennard to Edgarley Farm, the route of which passed 200 metres to the north of the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Ponter's Ball, a linear earthwork bank and ditch. An infilled post-medieval pond and an associated worked timber, along with two pieces of post-medieval metalwork, were revealed. No evidence was recovered to suggest that the Ponter's Ball earthwork continued any further north than previously known. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
