Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation was undertaken on land which had the potential to contain remains relating to features concerned with medieval and late river controlling exercises. The evaluation revealed evidence of a late medieval/early post-medieval smithy which was present on the site, as well as four Victorian Villas. More significant archaeological deposits were identified as lying under a considerable depth of river bank. [AIP] |
