Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation trenches for a garage block at the site of a housing development, which lay adjacent to the line of a Roman road. Medieval settlement had been documented in the area, and a 17th century manor house lay near the site. During the watching brief, no archaeological features or artefacts were observed. [AIP] |
