Abstract: |
Groundworks within the Project Time site boundary were monitored on a daily basis during the excavation of an underground car park and general groundworks. The archaeological investigation carried out during the scheme of planned groundworks indicated that there were no surviving archaeological remains within the areas affected by mechanical excavation. A shallow ditch/field boundary was recorded in the extreme north-west corner of the site. Horizontal truncation caused by the construction and demolition of previous aerodrome buildings was extensive, therefore survival of archaeological remains was minimal. [Au(abr)] |
