Abstract: |
The earliest maps showed that the village dated to the early 17th century and it was most probable that the medieval village known from documentary sources was located in more or less the same location. It was thought that the flanks of a watercourse crossing the site were likely to have been a preferred location for prehistoric activity. There were a number of earthworks present within the site which were likely to represent lynchet formation. [Au(adp)] |
