Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a pipe trench, in an area where relatively large numbers of artefacts from every archaeological period with the exception of the Iron Age had been found. Prehistoric worked flints, pot-boilers and pottery sherds were recovered from the excavated spoil; a concentration of artefacts which included seven sherds of possible Bronze Age pottery was noted. It was concluded that the finds confirmed previous reports of Neolithic and Bronze Age discoveries in the area over the preceeding 25 years. [AIP] |
