Abstract: |
A series of ten trial trenches were located over areas which had previously been subjected to a geophysical survey. The investigation site lay just to the south of The Devils Arrows, a group of three megaliths thought to have a Bronze Age origin. The results of the excavations showed that the area was shown to have been occupied during the Iron Age. It was also noted that the study area was subject to severe truncation by the plough, especially in the northern half of the site. [AIP] |
