Abstract: |
Ground survey test-pits at a proposed development site were observed and archaeologically recorded. A Civil War fort dating from 1643 was thought to lie in the vicinity. During the evaluation, fragments of 18th century bricks were recovered, and a cess pit containing a probable 20th century lamp-shade was found. It was concluded that the site had only a low archaeological potential. [AIP] |
