Abstract: |
With the exception of the Trent and Mersey Canal no features of pre-nineteenth century date were identified within the proposed route, and the likelihood of such features surviving was considered to be small. Much of the proposed route could have contained industrial archaeological deposits and features of the 19th century. It was recommended that ground disturbance be avoided if possible and that where impossible provision for a watching brief should be made.[AIP] |
