Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a parsonage. Neolithic flint axes and bronze age artefacts had been recorded in the vicinity, and the nearby settlement of Petersham had been mentioned in the Domesday Book. During the evaluation, a ditch containing late 17th-19th century artefacts was revealed. A fragment of Roman tile and a sherd of medieval pottery were found. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP] |
