Abstract: |
The evaluation, comprising the excavation of six trial trenches, was undertaken in response to a proposal to build a series of new retirement flats and houses. No significant archaeological features were identified during the course of the evaluation. A number of features relating to the use of the site as a mill complex during the late post-medieval and early modern period were identified, including a concrete wharf and a cobbled surface.
