Abstract: |
A desk-top study was commissioned to assess the effects of underground cable laying through this Scheduled Roman site which has produced evidence including a bath house, road, temples and burials. The study also produced evidence of prehistoric pits and a Bronze Age settlement in the surrounding area. Although areas of the site have previously been excavated and evaluated it is possible that pre-Roman deposits exist below the excavated levels. [AIP] |
