Abstract: |
Uphill Pill was a focus of activity for a wide local area as well as being a fairly important port. Archaeological sites in the area related to the harbour, drainage and flood protection and a water mill. The port displayed signs of military involvement as well as trade and exchange from the medieval period. The possibility of Roman and earlier activity was considered in the assessment. [Au(adp0} |
