Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on the proposed development site. The site is known to contain Roman and medieval settlements. A medieval hospital was identified on the site and a related church and cemetery may have been present. Exeter house a fortified post-medieval aristocratic house, destroyed during the Civil War and a Civil War earthwork were also present on the site. [Au(abr)] |
