Abstract: |
Four machine excavated exploratory trenches were archaeologically observed and archaeological features examined and recorded as part of an evaluation of two fields proposed for development. Prehistoric worked flint, two early medieval pottery sherds, five medieval sherds and larger quantites of post-medieval pottery, glass and brick fragments were recovered. Pronounced surviving cultivation ridges and furrow survived in one field and features resulting from past allotment activites in the second field were identified.[AIP] |
