Abstract: |
A watching brief at Killhope was carried out where improvements of the A689 road at Killhope threatened earthworks adjacent to the Scheduled Killhope Lead Mine. Disturbance was confined to a trench along the south-west side of the road, and all of the very few features recorded appeared to relate to the Turnpike and later road. A timber revetment in the bank of Killhope Burn, exposed by stream erosion, was also recorded. [Au] |
