The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A contour and borehole survey was carried out at the proposed site of a permanent mooring facility for houseboats. Bronze age peat deposits and metalwork had been recorded in the vicinity. During the survey, a peat horizon was observed and a fragment of 19th-20th century pottery was recovered. Coal dust relating to 19th century use of the site as a coal depot was noted. It was concluded that environmental analysis of samples should be carried out. [AIP]
