Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out in order to ascertain the presence or absence of any archaeological remains. Pottery dating to the late eighteenth to twentieth centuries was recovered from the topsoil. Three parallel gullies and a possible boundary ditch were recorded in Field 2, a complex of stone-built land drains was recorded in Field 5, and footings for a nineteenth-century outbuilding were observed and recorded in Field 6.
