Abstract: |
An evaluation trench revealed well-preserved evidence of Middle to Late Saxon occupation in the southern part of the trench cut directly into the river terrace. Further to the north a greater depth of deposit was excavated, revealing pits and floor levels associated with medieval buildings and yards. Two upstanding walls of flint-and-mortar, of medieval or later date, were also recorded. [Au(abr)] |
