Abstract: |
Archaeolgical records indicated that the site lay in an area of archaeological potential, particularly with respect to the line of the nearby Roman Road. Archaeological investigations have revealed evidence for roadside settlement, as well as prehistoric sites and finds, including a destroyed round barrow. Further archaeological work was recommended.
