Abstract: |
A desk-based study was undertaken to assess the archaeological constraints on proposals to create a new mooring basin at Newark Marina. No archaeological remains were identified within the proposal area although the proximity of the Roman road, the Fosse Way, the confluence of the Rivers Devon and Trent, and the Saxon cemetery at Millgate indicated the archaeological potential of the site.
