Abstract: |
Four trial trenches were excavated and revealed layers of natural brickearth, clay and gravel, overlaid by a ploughsoil resulting from medieval or post-medieval agriculture. Beneath the ploughsoil were features of uncertain date including a possible natural drainage channel and at least two post-holes. Other features were probably associated with medieval and later agriculture. Prehistoric flint and medieval to post-medieval finds were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
