Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation and service trenches, at a development site which lay within an area of Shavington which was considered to have been a possible focus for early settlement. A stone-lined culvert was exposed which had cut into a ploughsoil containing post-medieval pottery. No further deposits, features or artefacts of archaeological interest were found. [AIP] |
