Abstract: |
The site was located within the medieval village core and adjacent to the SAM of Groby Castle, with many medieval and post-medieval buildings and sites located in the vicinity. Roman and prehistoric settlement activity may have been located nearby, and although the site had been developed in the 20th century there were relatively undeveloped areas where archaeological remains could be well preserved.
