Abstract: |
An assessment of the proposed site of a housing block was carried out. It was found that the site lay in the vicinity of important Mesolithic sites, one of which had produced over 12000 flint artefacts. Evidence for Saxon occupation had also been found nearby. It was concluded that the potential of the site for producing Mesolithic, Neolithic and Saxon remains was high, and that a field evaluation should be undertaken.[AIP] |
