Abstract:
The watching brief was undertaken during topsoil stripping and the excavation of foundation trenches for the residential development of the site. A 15th to early 16th-century property boundary ditch and an undated pit and possible terrace were identified. The general absence of significant archaeological remains suggested that the site lay beyond the limits of the medieval and post-medieval town. [Au(abr)]
