Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprising desk based assessment, topographic survey and trial excavation was undertaken on three areas of proposed development. The desk based assessment demonstrated the potential for prehistoric settlement or activity and revealed that a relict field boundary was possibly the remains of a medieval field system. The topographic survey identified a number of earthwork features, some of which appeared to be modern and showed the boundary ditch to survive as quite a considerable feature. The trenches revealed no archaeological remains of prehistoric date. [Au(abr)] |
