Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief was carried out by the Creswell Heritage Trust at Creswell Crags during the replacement of a minewater pipeline. Medieval millpond silts and a series of ditches of Anglo-Saxon to post-medieval date were discovered. C14-dating was carried out on a timber stake from the base of one of these ditches, with the result that it was estimated to date to the Anglo-Saxon period. A Palaeolithic stream channel with fill was also revealed. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
