Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out on the proposed second stage of flood defence improvements. The assessment identified that the flood defence alteration around Colwick County Park would retain archaeological remains of various periods and a palaeochannel. The recovery of Neolithic axes around the industrial estate suggested that the flood improvements may impact on prehistoric archaeology in that area. Medieval and Roman archaeology was identified as being potentially affected by the flood defences near the River Road. [Au(abr)] |
