Archaeological trial trenching at Grim's Ditch Pond identified the former pond which had occupied a length of Grim's Ditch, Scheduled Ancient Monument. A number of pond silts were identified as well as deposits from Grim's Ditch which lay below. The work was carried out prior to the development of the site which was to include the reinstatement of the former pond. [Au]
